A small, younger self sits quietly within a larger figure of its present self, both weeping. Some see tenderness in the echoed pain. Others, pain inflicted unknowingly.
Inner Child was created in a space where Yume found herself revisiting emotions she once believed time had erased. There was a heaviness in acknowledging how those past wounds still shaped present choices, but also a growing steadiness in facing them. It felt like holding both vulnerability and responsibility at once, grieving what was unmet, while learning to offer that care to herself. The piece revealed that healing is not an arrival, but a decision made again and again: to protect, to listen, to stay.
It belongs in reflective spaces like a study room or bedroom, where it can remind you to meet yourself with gentleness, and to become the safety you once needed.
